Activity 1: Program 04: using analogue inputs (LDR)
Click on this link to download tpr2_u4_ws_crumble_D3. Then:
- Have a look at activity 04 (read the text).
- Create the circuit (connect the LDR resistor to the microcontroller) and then connect the microcontroller to the computer with the USB cable. Connect the batteries (switch in OFF position) to the microcontroller.
- Create the program with Crumble: create only a variable to store the amount of light in the room.
- When finished, click on the green arrow (play) to upload the program to the microcontroller and run it.
- Switch ON the batteries.
- Check that the program works and call the teacher.
- Turn OFF the battery.
- Before uploading a new program to the microcontroller, click on the red button (stop).
- Create a new circuit (connect a sparkle and the LDR resistor to the microcontroller) and then connect the microcontroller to the computer with the USB cable. Connect the batteries (switch in OFF position) to the microcontroller.
- Now create the second program in the activity (LDR darkness sensor circuit). Call the teacher.
- When finished, click on the green arrow (play) to upload the program to the microcontroller and run it.
- Switch ON the batteries.
- Check that the program works and call the teacher.
- Turn OFF the battery.
- Upload the pdf activity to PDF Bob and complete the activity. When finished, export your PDF file and upload it to your Classroom/Unit4/Workshop. Don forget the sticky note, name and surnames...
Activity 2: Program 05: using motors.
Click on this link to download tpr2_u4_ws_crumble_D3. Then:
- Have a look at activity 05
- Create the circuit (connect the motor1 to the microcontroller: motor drivers) and then connect the microcontroller to the computer with the USB cable. Connect the batteries (switch in OFF position) to the microcontroller.
- Create the program with Crumble: a loop that makes the motor rotate for 1 second and then stops.
- When finished, click on the green arrow (play) to upload the program to the microcontroller and run it.
- Switch ON the batteries.
- Check that the program works and call the teacher.
- Turn OFF the battery.
- Before uploading a new program to the microcontroller, click on the red button (stop).
- Now create the second program in the activity (motor rotates only when a button is pressed).
