Open online Snap. Have a look at the different menus (notice the colours) and create the program below:
- blocks are instructions we give the sprite (the red arrow) to perform (do) a task
- we work on Scrips tab (a scrip is a group/set of instructions)
- we run (execute) the program by clicking on the green flag (or the start instruction: when clicked)
- the first 2 blocks are compulsory (obligatory) in each program (use your proper name and your own class)
- the program stops because it has an end instruction that makes the program finish its task
- now create the program
Running and creating a link to the program. Run the program and check that it works as expected. After that:
- First click on the foot button (visible stepping) and then on the green flag to run the program step by step.
- If you are logged in, click on the white page button to save the program as Initial (the cloud icon has to be activated). Change the tab (or the window) to display the menu with your name and select My Projects. There you will find your first project called Initial. Click on it and then on Share button. Say yes and right click on the link to copy it.
- Go to your Classroom/ClassWork (trabajo de clase)/Unit 1/SnapInitial and Add the link. After that click on the link to check that it works.
- If you are NOT logged in, click on the white page button and select Export summary... and save (download) it as html document (untitled.html) to Descargas. Go to Descargas and rename the file as initial.html (if you want to see your document, double click on it to check that it works).
- Go to your Classroom/ClassWork (trabajo de clase)/Unit 1/SnapInitial and Add the file. Don't try to open the file as Classroom will open your html file from Google docs and it doesn't work. Don't worry about it.
